Hi everyone! I have one more card to show you before I finally head to bed tonight! I created this card for the challenge at the Cricut 360 blog. The theme this week is "Relax". I thought the sleeping characters on the Pooh and Friends cartridge were super cute so I chose Eeyore and made a card.

Flowers - cut at 2"

Patterned Paper - DCWV

Hope you like it!

No Lion!

The circles were cut using George and Basic Shapes at 1.5" and 1.75".

#107 Hannah Montana - Happy Birthday Pop Star!

Hi everyone! Last night I finished up a layout for the Cricut Circle Blog weekly challenge. The theme this week was "A-B-C, 1-2-3" - (A) Pop of (B)right (C)olor on your page, as well as 1 of something, 2 of something, and 3 of something.

I love the bright colours on the Bubblegum Stripes Imagine cartridge so I wanted to use that for the colour scheme on my layout.

I used one ribbon, two photos and three colours of Stickles.

The Cricut cartridges/cuts I used are:

Hannah Montana (my fave BTW:-)) - Hannah and shadows cut at 5.25"

- "Pop Star" cut at 5"

Elegant Cakes - "Happy Birthday" cut at 3.25"

All colours and patterns were printed on white cardstock (American Crafts) using the Imagine machine with the Bubblegum Stripes cartridge.

The cake in these photos was made by moi last October, also using the Hannah Montana cartridge. To view that post, click HERE.

Hope you like it!

#106 Just a Note - Trifold Birthday Card

Hi everyone! Today I have a card to show you that I created using the Just a Note Cricut cartridge. This is one of the cartridges that is built into the Cricut Expression 2 Anniversary Edition. It is such a cute cartridge! The challenge this week at Fantabulous Cricut was to create a project featuring a cupcake or other baked good.

One of the features on the Just a Note Cartridge is a trifold card, so you can make a different card with each image - so cool!

The card was cut at 5.5" as were all of the layers.

Cardstock is all Stampin' Up!

I used a few different colours of Stickles and some chunky glitter by Doodlebog Designs.

The stamped sentiment on the inside is from a Stampin' Up! set and the markers I used for stitching are also by SU!

Hope you like it!

#104 Beyond Birthdays - It's A Boy!

Hi everyone! Here is a baby boy card I created for the latest Throwback Thursday challenge at My Creative Time. For this challenge, Emma asked us to create a project using one of the retired Cricut cartridges. There are actually quite a few to choose from! I decided to use Beyond Birthdays just because I have NEVER used it yet. Since it is long retired now, I guess I should! haha

It's a Boy was cut at 3"

The circle was cut at 3.5" from George and Basic Shapes.

The circle was embossed with the Stars Cuttlebug folder.

Hope you like it!

P.S. If you get a chance you should check out My Creative Time this week! Emma has a new stamp release on Friday and she's show sneak peeks all week long!

#103 Pack Your Bags - Layout and Blog Hop Winner!

Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! Today I have a layout to show you that I created for the weekly challenge at the Cricut Circle Blog! But first I have a winner to announce from the Beginning of School Blog Hop that I participated in on the weekend. The winner of the Cherry Blossom Gypsy Starter kit is:

joydee1963 - congratulations! I will be emailing you shortly to get your details for shipping your prize!

Thank you everyone for the kind comments on my projects - the blog hop was a lot of fun!

The challenge this week on the Cricut Circle Blog was to create a layout of our vacation photos. My family hasn't gone on a vacation since 2009, which wasn't totally complete because my husband was unable to go. The kids and I went to Nova Scotia where my brother was getting married in July 2009. This scrapbook page shows photos of my kids at the beach in front of our cabin at the resort where the wedding took place (also on the beach).

For my layout I used the Pack Your Bags cartridge for the whale (cut at 3.75"), the lobster (cut at 2.75") and the title (cut at 2.25").

The scalloped circle and blue layer were cut at 3" from the Lacy Labels cartridge.

Patterned paper - Echo Park

Cardstock - American Crafts, Stampin' Up!

Glitter - Martha Stewart Crafts

Marker - Stampin' Up!

Hope you like it!

#100 Cake Basics - 60th Birthday Cake!

Hi everyone! I thought I would share with you the cake my sister Leila and I made for my Mom on her 60th birthday last weekend. Leila made the cake and covered it with fondant (it was zucchini chocolate cake - the yummiest kind EVER).

I cut out the flowers (2") and numbers (3") from homemade marshmallow fondant on my Cricut Cake using the Cake Basics cartridge.

Leila got the inspiration for the design from a cake she saw on the internet we went from there. We are very proud of how it turned out!

Did you see have now featured 100 cartridges this year? As some of you may recall, my New Year's resolution was to make a post for each of my Cricut cartridges this year. It seems I am falling behind though because I am pretty sure I have surpassed the 200 mark and the year is well over half finished! I will not give up though - I plan to do a lot more creating in the next few months. Summer has just been crazy busy!

#99 Cheerful Seasons - Layout

Hi everyone! Here is a layout I made today of some photos I took when my sister, her husband and beautiful daughter came to visit us last fall.

I created this layout for the challenge this week at Fantabulous Cricut, which was to create a project featuring a bug. Hopefully a dragonfly counts!

To create the Cricut cuts on this layout I used the Cheerful Seasons cartridge by Creative Memories. I've had this cartridge for a while and love it but this is the first time I have used it!

Dragonflies - cut at 2.25".

Tall flowers - cut at 3.25".

Flower - cut at 2.75".

Letters - 1.5".

Journaling tag - 1.5".

The patterned paper and cardstock are by CTMH.

#98 Christmas Cheer - Throwback Thursday Christmas Challenge

Hi everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your summer! Only three weeks to go here before the kids head back to school - can't believe how the summer has flown by! I haven't been getting much crafting done but can't wait to get back in the groove!

Here is a card I created for the latest Throwback Thursday challenge at My Creative Time where the task was to create a project with a Christmas theme using material somehow and an older Cricut cartridge.

I chose to use Christmas Cheer. The tree was cut at 3.5".

I hand cut a piece of burlap into an oval to make a mat for the tree image. A few years ago, I went to a fabric store and purchased a bunch of different cotton fabrics cut in 1/4" yard pieces, then tore them into strips to use as embellishents on my projects. I don't use them much but once in a while, it's fun to go through them to see if they will go with the project I am working on at the time.

Patterned Paper - DCWV

Stamp, cardstock - Stampin' Up!

Brads - Recollections

Glitter - Martha Stewart Crafts

Stickles

Hope you like my card!
