#45 Paisley - Love Ya Imagine Card

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a great weekend! Sickness has stuck our household full force - I've got two kids in bed, one kid quietly colouring and a hubby on the couch. I'd like to be crafting since it's so quiet but I just might join one of the kids for a nap!

But first, here is a card I finished up last night for the latest Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge. The cartridge of choice this week was Paisley - one of my very favorites! The images on this cartridge are so cute and cheerful! I chose to pair the Paisley cartridge up with the Blast Off Imagine cartridge and love how bright and fun the card turned out!

The puppy was cut at 2 1/2", "love ya" was cut at 1"

The background image is from the Blast Off cartridge and was cut at 4".

All colours and patterns are from Blast Off.

Hope you like it!

Thank You Gifts Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! I am sooooo excited to be taking part in this blog hop. I am in the company of so many amazingly talented ladies! If you have arrived here from Pause Dream Enjoy, you are at the right place! If you've just happened upon my blog please head to Joy's Life to start at the beginning! You don't want to miss anything!

For my project, I chose to do a couple of things but my main project was post-it notebooks to give to my childrens' teachers.

They are so simple to put together!

Here are my instructions:

1. Use a cereal box as the base to give the cover more stability. Cut 5 pieces in total: Two at 4 1/2" X 6 1/2" and Three at 6 1/2" X 3/4"
2. Choose two pieces of patterned paper and cut to 6 1/2"X 11 5/8"
3. Score and fold each paper piece at 4 1/2", 5 3/8", 9 7/8" and 10 3/4"
4. Adhere each chipcoard piece between the score lines of one sheet then cover with the other paper piece.
5. Decorate the cover as desired.
6. Punch two holes in the back for ribbon and attach eyelets. Run a piece of elastic through the holes forming loops for the pen to fit into. Tie on the outside into a bow.
7. Adhere the Post-It notes to the inside of the book.
8. Attach three small sticky velcro circles along one short edge, with the other part on the other edge so they match up to close.

For my books, I used the Live Simply cartridge for the butterfly and circle. I used the Mini Monograms cartridge for the scalloped circle. I used the Paisley cartridge for the buttons.
I used letter stickers for the word "NOTES"
My next project was a Sudoku puzzle book that I created with my Imagine using the JT cartridge (sorry about the blurry photos, my good camera broke:-().

I found some printable Sudoku puzzles on the internet and cut them to fit in my notebook which is 3 1/2" X3 1/2". Once again, I used cereal boxes covered in patterned paper for the covers. I bound everything together with the Bind-It-All. The "SUDOKU" was stamped using the Tiny Typwriter Alphabet by Close to My Heart and I added a button in the corner. Pretty simple!
I just love how easy it is to coordinate everything using your Imagine - I am continually amazed by that machine!
Hope you liked my projects!

Love Ya Froggie card

Hi everyone! Today I took part in a challenge over a the Cricut Circle messageboard. The task was to create a project with our favorite cartridge. I have so many favorites (like all of them :-)) but decided my most favorite at the moment is Paisley. I cut the frog out with Core-dinations cardstock then ran it through the cuttlebug and sanded over it. Cute eh?

Hope you like it! Thanks for looking!

Back to School Layout - Paisley

Hi everyone! Wow, I am up late scrapping AGAIN!!! I really need to start getting to bed earlier, the kids don't care if I stayed up late when they are up at 7:00 demanding breakfast! It's starting to catch up with me!
At My Creative Time, Emma challenged us to use our Paisley cartridge to create a project in a Back to School theme. Paisley is one of my very favorites! I decided to make a layout of Jenae's back to school outfits from last year. I remember how excited she was going into Grade 1 choosing all her new clothes, and telling me how cool they were. She wanted me to take a picture of every outfit. I chose her favorite three for this layout.
All cuts are from the Paisley cartridge - I just LOVE those outfit cuts! So adorable! The patterned paper is by Imaginesce. Hope you like it!

A Card for Mom

Hello everyone! This card was created with two challenges in mind for this week. Both challenges require the use of the Cricut. For the Cricut Cardz challenge the task was to create a Mother's Day card using only the colours pink, green and white. For the Fantabulous Cricut challenge the task was to create a Mother's Day card or project. I used the Accent Essentials, Don Juan and Paisley cartridges for this card. Hope my mom likes it!

Hello Friend Card

Here is another card I just finished tonight for the Cricutters Anonymous challenge. The theme this week was spring. I chose to use my Paisley cartridge to make these adorable rain boots. Check out those sweet little ladybugs! Love it! I also dug WAY into my stash for that rain patterned paper. It's from an itty Scrap Pad by Provocraft which I am pretty sure I've had for close to 10 years! The stamped sentiment is by CTMH.

An owl card using Paisley cartridge

I changed my blog again, it is looking better but still needs work - I don't have a clue what I am doing! lol Here is a card I made with my new Paisley cartridge. I know I said I was going to work on scrapbooking instead of cards but when I got the cartridge in the mail yesterday, I just had to try it out on a quick project.
