#136 Speaking of Fall - Nature Lovers

Hi everyone! Here is a layout I created for the monthly challenge at the Cricut Circle Blog. The challenge was to create a project featuring our favorite thing about fall. I decided to go with leaves! I love the colours of fall leaves and crunching sound they make under your feet.

We also had to add some texture to our projects. First, I stamped on ivory cardstock with versamark using the Tim Holtz leaves stamps in a random pattern all over the cardstock. I then heat embossed the stamped images with clear embossing powder. Next, I used Tim Holtz Distress inks and foam applicator tools to apply several different colours to the background. I had a lot of fun with this process!

The Cricut cartridges / cuts I used on my layout are:

Give a Hoot - Tree (cut at 4.25"), "Nature Lovers" cut at 3.75", Squirrel (cut at 2.25")

Cindy Loo - Blessings (Cut at 1.75")

Speaking of Fall - Leaves (cut at 1.81")

Don Juan - 2010 (cut at 1.13")

I stamped over the squirrel with Perfect Medium using a background stamp by Stampin' Up. I then added gold Perfect Pearls and set it by misting with water.

Other supplies:

Patterned Paper - Close to My Heart

Cardstock - Close to My Heart, Bazzill

#135 'Tis the Season - Love, hope, peace, joy

Hi everyone! Here is a Christmas card I created using some new CTMH stamp sets that my sister just delivered to me the other day! I ordered a bunch of winter/Christmas sets and they are just lovely!

The background scene was stamped with versamark ink and embossed with silver powder. I coloured the house with Stampin' Up! markers and added some Liquid Applique to look like real snow.

"Love, hope, peace, joy" was stamped with white pigment ink.

The snowflakes were cut from the Creative Memories 'Tis the Season Cricut cartridge at 1.5" and I added some blue jewels from the dollar store.

I will be entering this card in the Fantabulous Cricut challenge this week, which is "Holiday Cards".

Hope you like it!

Baby Sleeping Layout

Hi everyone! I thought I would share a layout I created a few weeks ago using my Imagine machine and the Hey Diddle Diddle cartridge.

All of the patterns and colours are from Hey Diddle Diddle, as well as the cow jumping over the moon, Baby Sleeping and the stars. I cut the cow image in layers and used foam squares under the moon to give the image more dimension.

Both the striped ribbon and blue taffeta ribbon are by Stampin' Up!.

I made this layout at a crop and didn't write down which cartridges I used other than the Imagine one, but I do remember the scalloped border is from Sugar and Spice and the tag is from Plantin' Schoolbook. I'm not sure which font I used though!

#134 Seasonal Cake Art - Christmas Card

Hi everyone! Here is a Christmas card I made the other day using the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art cartridge.

I cut the wreath at 2.75".

One of our local scrapbooking store just got in a bunch of Lindy's Stamp Gang products so I went a little crazy shopping there! I couldn't wait to use some on a project so I chose to spray my card with Cactus Gold Glitz Spritz and just love all the shimmer my project has now!

Other Products used:

Patterned paper - K & Company

Cardstock, stamp - Stampin' Up!

Twine - Martha Stewart Crafts

Mickey Mouse Tag

Hi everyone! My son's second birthday is coming up next week, so this week I am going to be busy creating party decorations for him. He LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so we are going to go with a Mickey Mouse theme this year!

For the challenge this week, at My Creative Time, Emma asked us to create a project using a kid-friendly cartridge. I chose the Mickey and Friend cartridge to create this cute gift tag

Mickey was cut at 2.75" and the tag was cut at 5".

"You make me smile" is a sentiment stamp by My Creative Time!

The pen stitching was done with Stampin' Up! markers and the fibers are from my fiber stash!

#133 Nate's ABCs - Circle Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! Wow - it has been a while since I have posted! I have created a few projects while I have been absent from blogging, so stay tuned for some of those projects, mostly scrapbook layouts!

Today I finished up this card for the Cricut Circle magazine challenge from this month. The challenge was to use the sketch featured in the magazine to create a project of our own. Here is my take on their sketch:

For my card, I used my Imagine along with the Imagine More cartridge for all of the colours and patterns. The cricut cartridges and cuts I used are:

Nate's ABC's - Boy and puppies scene (cut at 4")

Cake Basics - scalloped circle (cut at 4") and heart (cut at 3.5")

I used my markers for faux stitching and accents and popped up the boy scene with foam squares. Both are by Stampin' Up!.

The chocolate grosgrain ribbon is by Close to My Heart.

Thank you for stopping by to look at my creation. Hope you like it!
