Flowers, Flowers Everywhere Blog Hop - Day 2

Hi everyone! Happy Mother's Day! Welcome back to Day 2 of the Flowers, Flowers Everywhere Blog Hop! If you have arrived here from A Scrapping Time, you are in the right place. If you have just happened to stop by my blog, please head over to Creations with Kathryn to start from the beginning! We have a ton more great projects to show you today and you don't want to miss out!

For my project today I created a pot of paper flowers for Mother's Day! Ok it is a present for myself but I love it just the same. I used the Mother's Day Bouquet Cricut cartridge to create the flowers and leaves and the Walk in My Garden cartridge for the bumblebees.

All paper used is white cardstock. I used the Imagine and the Blossom patterns cartridge to print all of the colours and patterns used on my project.

Each flower has three layers - one at 3", one at 2.5" and one at 2". The layers were attached together at the center with an epoxy brad. All flower and leaf pieces were inked along the edges.

The leaves are all embossed with the Victoria Cuttlebug folder.

I created the stems by wrapping wire with green painter's tape. The flowers and leaves were attached with a hot glue gun.

I created two tiny bumblebees (0.75") and attached them to their flowers with a thin wire.

There is a larger bumblebee (2")attached to the front of the pail.

Hope you like it! Don't forget, I am still giving away the Cherry Blossom Gypsy Starter Kit, so leave a comment on this post for a chance to win! If you missed yesterday's post, click HERE to see that post and leave a comment there as well for another chance!

Next up on the blog hop is lovescrapreflect. Head over there to see what wonderful project she has to show you today!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and thanks for joining us on the Flowers, Flowers Everywhere Blog Hop!

#69 Mother's Day Bouquet - Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! Hope you are all enjoying lots of yummy treats! I am going to need the sugar high today - my kids were up waaaaaayyyy to early looking for their baskets!
I thought I would share with you the Easter wreath I created using my Imagine Lori's Garden cartridge along with the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge. The adorable Build - A- Bear is from some Sizzix dies available through Stampin' Up!.
In the March 2011 Cricut Circle Magazine, one of the designers created a beautiful wreath similar to this one and I was so inspired that I had to create my own.

I was expecting the grapevine wreath to cost a ton in Michael's so I took along a 50% off coupon to help with the cost. It turned out they are very inexpensive. The price was $3.99 for an 18" wreath! I actually used the coupon on one of the more expensive rolls of tulle :-)

Supplies used:

Bear Sizzix Bigz Die, Beary Dressy Originals Die, Beary Hoppy Sizzlits Die- Stampin' Up!

Cricut Imagine Lori's Garden cartridge (butterflies)

Cricut Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge - flowers

White cardstock - American Crafts

Cardstock and pattern paper (Springtime Vintage) used on bear - Stampin' Up!

Blue, Green, Pink Tulle - found in the wedding section at M's.

Grapevine Wreath

Egg Ornaments

Hot glue gun

I will be entering this in the Wacky Wednesday challenge at More than Favors this week - where the theme was Easter!

Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day everyone!

#46 Happily Ever After - Snow White

Hi everyone! This is the layout I created for the weekly challenge at the Cricut Circle Blog. The theme this week was Fairy Tale or Folklore.
My daughter Jenae has always loved dressing in costumes. I made her two princess costumes for Christmas a couple years ago - one Snow White and one Cinderella. She LOVES them still even though they no longer zip up in the back :-)
For this layout I used the Happily Ever After Disney Princess cartridge as well as the new Mother's Day Bouquet seasonal cartridge for the flowers.
Snow White is cut at 5 1/2"
The title "Snow White" is cut at 4"
The flowers are cut at 3/4"

Hope you like it!
