#63 A Child's Year - April Showers

Hi everyone! Here is a card I created for a couple of challenges last week. At Fantabulous Cricut, the challenge was April Showers and we needed to use an umbrella or hat image on our projects.

At Paper Variety, it was a photo inspiration challenge. This is the photo: I chose to use the A Child's Year cartridge and cut out the cute silhouette at 3".

The raindrops were from the same cartridge and cut at 1".

The border and corner punches are by Martha Stewart.

Hope you like it!

Thrift Store Find Challenge

Hi everyone! This month the Cricut Circle Magazine challenged us to search our local thrift store for something we could redo to give it a fresh look. My thrift store didn't have a whole lot for me to work with but as soon as I saw this easel and frame set I knew it was meant for me! It cost $1.98

I covered the wood with two layers of gesso, then sprayed two glimmer mists (Timeless Lilac and Rum Raisin) over just the frame.

The Cricut cartridges I used were:

A Child's Year - fairy (cut at 4")

Accent Essentials - 3D flower (used three flowers cut at 2 1/2")

Picturesque - frame (cut at 5 3/4")

Wall Decor & More - "imagine" (cut from vinyl and etched into the glass) and border (cut at 1 1/2")

Hannah Montana - butterflies (cut at 1 1/2")

Other supplies:

Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Timeless Lilac, Rum Raisin, Marshmallow

Patterned Paper - Paper Adventures, ProvoCraft and unknown from my paper stash

Cardstock - Close to My Heart (Colonial White), Paper Reflections (Purple glitter)

Ink - Close to My Heart (Pansy Purple) and Staz On (Jet Black)

Stamps - Baroque Motifs - Stampin' Up! (Flourish), Ultimate Grunge - Tim Holtz (background stamped on handmade flower pieces)

Bling - Prima and Me & My Big Ideas

Flowers - Prima

Lace Trim

Mod Podge

Armor Etch

Hope you like it! Thank you for stopping by my blog!

Bee-utiful Card

Hi everyone! Here is a card I created for the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge this week! The task was to create a card of encouragement. I chose to cut this cute little bumblebee from the Create a Critter cartridge and give it a cute little face from the Critter Faces X Large assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps.
The backround is cut from the A Child's Year cartridge.
The "Bee-u-tiful" sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's "Punnylicious" stamp set.

Circle Black Friday Challenge

Hi everyone! This week the challenge at the Cricut Circle blog was to create a project using the colour black and something recycled. It also needed to feature at least two different Cricut cuts.

I chose to make this notebook and the covers were made using a cereal box. The Santa image is from A Child's Year and the font for "Wish List" is from Alphalicious.
Hope you like it!

Thanksgiving Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! Welcome to this Thanksgiving blog hop! Hope you are excited as I am to see what everyone has created for this 2- day blog hop! If you are arriving at my blog from My Fantabulous Life, then you are in the right place! If not, please start the blog hop at Amy's Digi-Scraps and come back here later!
For my first project, I chose to create this paper bag mini-album,which I am going to give to my sister-in-law for Christmas - I just LOVE how it turned out. The chipboard cover was covered in canvas which I had painted with acrylic paint and modpodged Cricut letters on.
The instructions I used for creating a paper bag album were from a video I found on Youtube by Laura from Following the Paper Trail - if you are not sure who she is, go find her! She absolutely a creative genius.
I used a ton of Cricut cartridges for this album, I wish I could go step by step in the detail or that I could have done a video to show all of the elements. There are just so many things that the picture doesn't show!
For your next stop on this blog hop, please go visit Time to Create and see what she has in store for you! And don't forget to come back tomorrow to see my next Thanksgiving themed project - it was something I had never tried before and it turned out great!
Before you leave, how about entering to win some blog candy?
