Thrift Store Find Challenge

Hi everyone! This month the Cricut Circle Magazine challenged us to search our local thrift store for something we could redo to give it a fresh look. My thrift store didn't have a whole lot for me to work with but as soon as I saw this easel and frame set I knew it was meant for me! It cost $1.98

I covered the wood with two layers of gesso, then sprayed two glimmer mists (Timeless Lilac and Rum Raisin) over just the frame.

The Cricut cartridges I used were:

A Child's Year - fairy (cut at 4")

Accent Essentials - 3D flower (used three flowers cut at 2 1/2")

Picturesque - frame (cut at 5 3/4")

Wall Decor & More - "imagine" (cut from vinyl and etched into the glass) and border (cut at 1 1/2")

Hannah Montana - butterflies (cut at 1 1/2")

Other supplies:

Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Timeless Lilac, Rum Raisin, Marshmallow

Patterned Paper - Paper Adventures, ProvoCraft and unknown from my paper stash

Cardstock - Close to My Heart (Colonial White), Paper Reflections (Purple glitter)

Ink - Close to My Heart (Pansy Purple) and Staz On (Jet Black)

Stamps - Baroque Motifs - Stampin' Up! (Flourish), Ultimate Grunge - Tim Holtz (background stamped on handmade flower pieces)

Bling - Prima and Me & My Big Ideas

Flowers - Prima

Lace Trim

Mod Podge

Armor Etch

Hope you like it! Thank you for stopping by my blog!
