Poinsettia Wreath

Hi everyone! I am super excited about this wreath that I made for the Monthly Challenge at the Cricut Circle blog! The challenge was to create a home decor project using at least one Cricut cut, the cuttlebug, felt and the colour green.

I purchased a foam wreath from Michaels and wrapped 3" strips of green Christmas fabric around it, using pins to attach it.

The poinsettias were cut from the Joys of the Season cartridge. Then I traced around the outside of the flowers with a gold metallic marker by American Crafts and put them through my cuttlebug using the Mosaic Texture folder. The flowers were then attached to the wreath with pins.

I hand cut the leaves from stiffened green felt and added detail with green stickles.

I added some pinecones, also from Micheals, attaching them with hot glue.

I cut the felt ornament with my Cricut using the Joys of the Season cartridge. The word "joy" is also from that cartridge. I used stickles aroung the outside of the ornament and hung it from the middle of the wreath with gold cord.
I then attached some hanging hardware to the back of the wreath and VOILA!!
Hope you like it!
