Cricut Cruise 2012
We decided we needed some tshirts to distinguish us as the Canadian cricuteers. Leila designed the shirt in Cricut Craftroom and emailed me the file to work with.
I used the Imagine to fill all of the pieces with colours, then layered thrum all by clicking "do not weld" on each piece (otherwise when you put the layer on it will change to the colour of the layer behind it. However, it is important to only print the project, NOT cut because it will cut all of the layers out since we had clicked "do not weld".
I printed the design onto inkjet transfer that I purchased from Walmart in the office supply section.
The cartridges we used are:
Go Canada - maple leaf
Cricut Everyday - cricut bug
Robotz - font
Imagine All Wrapped Up - colours
This process took me quite a long time because the Craftroom program still does not get along very well with my imagine, it takes a lot of restarting the I and switching cartridges for it to realize that I do actually have them! It sure took a lot of patience, but I was so excited about what I was creating that it was worth the minor frustration! I love that I was able to layer images and print them as one! Awesome! Hopefully Gypsy linking will be an available update soon so I can avoid the technical difficulties with switching out the cartridges!
Hope you like it!

Who Says Money Can't Buy Happiness?
Hi everyone! Today I have a card to show you that I created for the latest challenge at My Creative Time. This time, Emma had a "cricut-less" challenge which meant no electronic cutting machines allowed.
All of the papers used were from the Close to My Heart Mayberry collection, except for the blue cardstock, which I believe is Bazzill.
I spritzed the card background and yellow Prima flower with Perfect Pearl Mist - so shimmery!
Ink by CTMH
Markers by Stampin' Up!

Cricut cartridge I used for my card was Playtime. The background shape was cut at 5.25" and the little girl was cut at 3.5".
The little flower on her dress was cut from Plantin' Schoolbook at 0.75".
I used the hide contour feature to erase her facial features, then used a Peachy Keen Stamps face stamp from the Princess Face Assortment set to create her cute face. I then chalked her some little cheeks as well.
Products used:
Cardstock - DCWV, American Crafts
Patterned Paper - unknown
Baker's Twine - My Mind's Eye

For my project today, I have created a birthday card for my son to give to a little girl in his Preschool class, who is having a birthday party today!
For the shape of my card, I used an image from the Paper Trimmings cartridge cut at 6". I welded two of the background images together to create the card, then added the full layered image over top.
Guess what?!?! I also have a giveaway for one lucky winner!

#150 Phrases - Picture Perfect Layout
Hi everyone! Ready for the weekend? I sure am! Here is a layout that I created for the Cricut Circle Magazine challenge for the month of February. The challenge was to use one of the sketches used at some time or another in the magazine or on the Cricut Circle Blog. This was the sketch I chose, created by Jillian Deiling Cassity:
Here is my take on the sketch:
The cartridges/cuts I used on my layout are:
Locker Talk - "First Grade" (2.5"), Camera (3")
Phrases - "Picture Perfect" (3")
Teresa Collins Basics - Background topnote shape (8.5")
Hello Kitty Greetings - Apple on Books (3.75")
Makin' the Grade - "Class Photo" top layer and shadow, welded (1.5")
Patterned Paper - Martha Stewart Crafts
Cardstock - Bazzill, American Crafts
Ribbon - unknown
Hope you like it!
