Drew's Birthday Invitation!

Hi everyone, just thought I would post the invitations I made for my son's third birthday party before I get them in the mail - they turned out really cute! I chose the Lightning McQueen with the least pieces - still a lot of work! But super cute! He is a Cars fanatic! When I ask him what he wants for his birthday he always says "Car Cake" For this project I used the Cars cricut cartridge.

Beach Babes Layout

Here is my newest layout that I just finished up this evening. Gotta love those paper doll cartridges with the Peachy Keen stamps!

I made this layout for this week's challenge at http://madebymomo.blogspot.com/. The challenge was called "spots and dots" so used some polka dot embossed cardstock for my photo mats. I used the Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge for the kids and the Cuttin Up cartridge for the letters. I dug waaaaayyyy down into my paper stash for that background paper. I know my mom gave it to me years ago. Do you think it is possibly the first patterned paper ever made in a beach theme? Hope you like it!

One of a Kind Card

Hi everyone! Here is a card I created for the Heart 2 Heart challenge this week at http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/

The task was to create a card using the CTMH colours buttercup, tulip and black. A few months ago I received "Be Yourself" as the stamp of the month. I actually never thought I would use it, but I really like how this turned out so I think you will be seeing more projects from this stamp set made by me in the future!. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the buttercup cardstock on the background of the card, which I then ran the tulip ink pad over to colour the dots. I used black ink to stamp the image then stamped another in tulip ink and cut out around the dress. I adhered the dress to the body with foam squares. I used my Creative Memories cutting system to cut out the ovals. The "one of a kind" sentiment is also from the Be Yourself MyAcrylix stamp set.

I made this card with my sister-in-law in mind who is having a birthday in July. I hope she will like it!

Throwback Thursday Challenge - Doodlecharms

Hi everyone! This week at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ Emma is having another Throwback Thursday challenge featuring an older cartridge. This week she chose Doodlecharms and the task was to create a scrapbooking layout. Jenae and I scrapbooked together this evening so she created a project as well. For mine I used the Santa and reindeer from the doodlecharms cartridge. The fonts were from Cuttin Up and Gypsy Wanderings. The scalloped photo mats are from Create a Critter. I also used a Critter Faces stamp set by Peachy Keen Stamps for the faces on the cute little reindeer. Hope you like it!

For Jenae's 6X6 layout she used the sandcastle from Doodlecharms and made this cute layout of her, her brother and her cousin playing in the sandbox at Grandma's house.

Bon Voyage card

The challenge was to create a vacation themed card. This was my entry. I used the Gypsy Wanderings for the boat, Give a Hoot for the waves and Cake Basics for the "Bon Voyage" sentiment. Hope you like it!

Dad Cookie Pail - Throwback Thursday Challenge

Hi everyone! For Emma's challenge this week at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ she wanted us to make or alter a 3D item using the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. I was so excited when I bought this cartridge and then it sat on my shelf for over a year after that. I finally started using it when I discovered the Peachy Keen face stamps - they are so cute!

I was planning on baking my Dad some peanut butter cookies (his very favorite) for Father's Day then thought I could cover an ice cream pail to put them in. He is a farmer so I decided to follow that theme.

I used the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge to cut out the man, his shirt, pants, hair and boots. I also used that cartridge for the cow. My Dad doesn't wear a cowboy hat so I had to get his baseball cap from Everyday Paper Dolls as well as the barn and the tractor. Hope this is ok! I used the Basic Cakes cartridge for the font on the lid of the pail.

Hope you like it! I know my Dad will at least love the cookies! He thinks I am obsessed with paper crafting because they didn't send me to kindergarten. HAHA.

Special Delivery Shadow Box

I have always wanted to make shadow boxes for my kids from when they were born. I got the perfect chance to start with the latest challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/

The challenge was to create a layout for a shadowbox, so I chose to do one for my middle son Drew. I used my Peachy Keen Stamps "Critter Faces Set A Medium" stamp set. I totally love these stamps. If any of you have the Create a Critter or Animal Kingdom Cricut cartridge, you should definitely look into getting a set. The images on the cartridges are cute already, but adding the faces just gives it even more cuteness (is that a word?)

I used the Create a Critter cartridge for all three animals and the title. I used Plantin' Schoolbook for the grass.

I added Drew's first pair of shoes! Sooooo cute - I can't believe his feet were ever that small! I even found the identification label for his hospital bassinet. Notice, they used a girl one and crossed out the word "GIRL" and wrote "BOY" - must have been a lot of boys born at that time, they ran out of boys cards.

Well, I love how this turned out, so I will be creating a similar project for each of my other two babies! Hope you like this one, thanks for stopping by!
