The Beginning of School Blog Hop - #101 Fabulous Finds

Hi everyone! Welcome to Day 1 of the Beginning of School Blog Hop! So glad you could join us! You should be arriving at my blog from VinDeeLoo's This 'N That, but if you have just happened to stop by my blog then please head over to Creations With Kathryn to start at the beginning of the hop!

For my project today I created a layout of my sweet daughter Jenae on her first day of school last fall. She was so excited to be starting Grade 2 and I can't believe that this September she will be going into Grade 3! My daughter just loves school and I hope she continues her passion for learning for many years to come!

For my layout I used mainly Stampin' Up! products. This line (Playtime) is just retired but it is one of my favorites! The stamp set is called Forest Friends.

The Cricut cartridges / cuts I used are:

Bread bag tag - Fabulous Finds

Journaling Tag - Christmas Cheer

Now for some blog candy! I have another Cherry Blossom Gypsy Starter Kit to give away to one lucky winner! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post for a chance at the prize! AND if you come back tomorrow and leave a comment on that project, you will get another entry! Simple!

Now it's time for you to head over to Peanut Butter and Jelly Designs to see what the fabulous Michelle has in store for you! Have fun and see you tomorrow!

#98 Christmas Cheer - Throwback Thursday Christmas Challenge

Hi everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your summer! Only three weeks to go here before the kids head back to school - can't believe how the summer has flown by! I haven't been getting much crafting done but can't wait to get back in the groove!

Here is a card I created for the latest Throwback Thursday challenge at My Creative Time where the task was to create a project with a Christmas theme using material somehow and an older Cricut cartridge.

I chose to use Christmas Cheer. The tree was cut at 3.5".

I hand cut a piece of burlap into an oval to make a mat for the tree image. A few years ago, I went to a fabric store and purchased a bunch of different cotton fabrics cut in 1/4" yard pieces, then tore them into strips to use as embellishents on my projects. I don't use them much but once in a while, it's fun to go through them to see if they will go with the project I am working on at the time.

Patterned Paper - DCWV

Stamp, cardstock - Stampin' Up!

Brads - Recollections

Glitter - Martha Stewart Crafts

Stickles

Hope you like my card!

Penguin Christmas Card

Hi everyone! Here is a card I created for the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut this week. The challenge was to create a project using the colour green and a circle shape somewhere on your project! The cartridges I used for my penguin card were Christmas Cheer, Mini Monograms and George and Basic Shapes. Hope you like it!
