April Showers Blog Hop - Day 2 / #58 - 3 Birds on Parade

Hi everyone! Welcome to day 2 of the April Showers Blog Hop! Glad you came back to see some more great spring-theme projects! If you have arrived from Cricuting With Lisa, then you have come to the right place! If you have just happened to come across my blog then you should head to Creations with Kathryn to start from the beginning!
For my project today I have created a card using the 3 Birds on Parade cartridge and the Blossom Imagine cartridge.

My card size is 5.5" square. The bird and umbrella image was cut at 3.75" and colour-filled with the Imagine. The fancy note shape is a shape built into the Imagine and was cut at 4".

I used my sewing machine for the white stitching aroung the edge of the card and some faux pen stitching around the note.

I ripped a strip of cotton and frayed the edges for the trim and added flowers and bling for a final touch.

Hope you like it! Now you are off to your next stop: That'z Uneek

But first, I have still have my blog candy up for grabs! You can win this set of My Pink Stamper stamps called Buggy Punnies by following my blog and leaving a comment on this post. If you haven't had a chance to comment on yesterday's post, please do so for another chance to win! I will be using Random.Org to choose a winner on Monday.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you are enjoying the hop! Happy Spring!

#3 Freshly Picked - Tacky Tuesday Challenge

Hi everyone! I joined a group on Facebook called Tacky Tuesday's Challenge. The group was started by Theresa and Ruth where they are going to have a challenge once a month featuring a specific Cricut cut! This month, they chose the lettuce from the Freshly Picked cartridge and we had to use the word lettuce somewhere on our project. As you can see, my card is definitely tacky LOL. I was trying to think of something original and this was what I came up with. The baseball cap and glove are from the 3 Birds on Parade cartridge.

Hope you like it!

Birdie Christmas Card

Hi everyone! Today I have for you a cute Christmas card I made for the challenge this week on the Cricut Circle blog. The task was to create a project featuring a bird and stitching. It also had to use at least two cricut cuts. The cartridges I used were 3 Birds on Parade for the bird and Songbird for the background. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!

My Pink Stamper Bird Challenge

Hi everyone! Today Robyn at My Pink Stamper is having some challenges and giveaways to celebrate having 5,000,000 hits to her blog! That is AMAZING to me, especially since I just reached 5,000! For her first challenge of the day, she wanted us to create something with a bird on it. I chose this cute little baby bird cut from 3 Birds on Parade. The background patterned papers are from DCWV, the border punch is by Martha Stewart, the sentiment stamp is by Studio G. Hope you like it!

My Pink Stamper Sept 11 Challenge

Hi everyone! On Sept. 11, Robyn from My Pink Stamper issued a challenge to create a project for a soldier or other service person. I decided to make a card for my daughter's teacher because teacher's offer one of the most important services to us! They are just amazing! For my card I used my new 3 Birds on Parade cartridge which I used my Cricut rewards points for so it cost me nothing but the shipping! Isn't that exciting?!? Well, I think so:-) I also used one of the Cindy Loo companion cuttlebug embossing folders for the background. The "Super Tweet" sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's "Punnylicious" stamp set. I also used my I-Rock for the flower centers. Hope you like it!
