#171 Princess Party - Birthday Girl Card

Hi everyone!  I have completed another challenge for the Cricut Circle Canadian online swarm from the Cricut Circle messageboards.  This challenge had a theme of "Something Old, Something New".  We were asked to create a project featuring this.  Here is what I came up with:

For my "something old" I chose to use the Rock Princess cartridge and my "something new" was the Art Glitter glass glitter and pink Candi embellishments that just arrived in the mail the other day from my most recent order from Blitsy.com.

The cartridges / cuts I used are:
Rock Princess - Bear and Bones cut at  3.5".
Princess Party - "Birthday Girl" cut at 1.75".
Lacy Labels - fancy square cut at 4" and 4.25"

It's Cold Outside Blog Hop Day 1 - #142 Lacy Labels

Hi everyone! Welcome to the It's Cold Outside Blog Hop! This is the first day of our two day blog hop and we are so happy that you have joined us! I live in Alberta Canada and I must say that the temperature is not cold at all here for January! It has been slightly below or above freezing for a few weeks now! I am loving the weather, but it is strange not having snow. There is a lot of ice though - our backyard could be a skating rink!

For my project today, I created this card using a rubber stamp by Whipper Snapper Designs. Love this cute little snow man! I coloured him with my copic markers.

The sentiment stamp I used is by My Creative Time from her Mixed Holiday Sentiments stamp set.

The snowflake label and layers were cut at 3.8" using Lacy Labels along with Mr. Frosty patterns on my Imagine machine. All colours and patterns on this card are from the Mr. Frosty cartridge with the exception of the small purple oval that I stamped the sentiment on. This paper came out of my scraps stash.

The challenge this week on the Cricut Circle Blog was to create a layout of our vacation photos. My family hasn't gone on a vacation since 2009, which wasn't totally complete because my husband was unable to go. The kids and I went to Nova Scotia where my brother was getting married in July 2009. This scrapbook page shows photos of my kids at the beach in front of our cabin at the resort where the wedding took place (also on the beach).

For my layout I used the Pack Your Bags cartridge for the whale (cut at 3.75"), the lobster (cut at 2.75") and the title (cut at 2.25").

The scalloped circle and blue layer were cut at 3" from the Lacy Labels cartridge.

#97 Block Party - BBQ Layout

Hi everyone! Here is a layout I created for the monthly challenge at the Cricut Circle Blog. The challenge for July was to create a project with a BBQ or picnic theme using the Cricut. It also had to have some gingham somewhere on it.

For my layout I used the Block Party cartridge for the images and the Lacy Labels cartridge for the background shape. The man was cut at 5.5", the barbeque at 3" and the picnic table at 3.5".

The yellow background was cut at 11.5" and the white was cut at 11.25".

Hi everyone! Here is a card I created for the Wacky Wednesday Challenge at More than Favors. The theme was ZOO and I haven't used my Create a Critter cartridge for awhile so this was the perfect opportunity!

The elephant was cut at 2 3/4". I ran the pink ear layer through my Xyron and added flocking - love the cute fuzziness!

The scalloped oval is from Lacy Labels and was cut at 4" X 5 1/4" (sized on my Gypsy)

#36 Walk in My Garden - Thanks a Bunch

Hi everyone! Here is a quick card I created for the Cricut Circle weekly challenge. The challenge was to create a project using three of the same cut and using a spray mist somewhere.

I chose to make a thank you card using the Walk in My Garden cartridge. I cut three flowers at 3 1/4".

"Thanks a Bunch" was cut at 3/4" and welded together on my Gypsy and attached to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals to make it "Pop" at bit.

The background fancy square is from Lacy Labels and is cut at 4"

I used Lemon Meringue Glimmer Mist for the square and Tutti Fruitti Glimmer Mist for the card base.

#27 Create a Critter - Say Cheese!

Hi everyone! I'm back with yet another challenge entry to show you - I've been busy crafting this weekend! I created this card for the Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge. The cartridge they chose last week was Create a Critter - one of my favorites! I haven't used this mouse yet and wanted to send it to a friend of mine as a little joke since she has just discovered a mouse in her house. I'm glad it's her house and not mine :-)

The mouse, cheese and "say cheese" are from Create a Critter and the background piece is from Lacy Labels.

You & Me Valentine's Day Card

Hi everyone! This is a card I created for my hubby. The Cricut cartridges I used are:

Sweethearts - Scalloped Heart (cut at 4 1/2") "You & Me" (cut at 2 1/2") Scalloped Heart Blackout (4 1/2")

Lacy Labels - Scalloped Squares (cut at 5 1/2") welded together on Gypsy to form a card.

I ran the scalloped heart through the xyron and added red glitter.

The heart corner punch used on the patterned paper is by Fiskars.

I created my card for two challenges:

Music Mondays - Erin and Angelica have started some new challenges based on music! Fun! This week their song choice was "You are the Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne. I decided to create a card for my husband for Valentine's Day, but I might just give it to him before since we are still a month away and I am likely to be creating more cards before then. He's the best thing in my life! I am the luckiest girl in the world! He spoils me rotten and for our children he is best father I could ask for! OK enough of the mushy stuff....LOL

A Yummy Holiday Gift

Hi everyone! I made this cute gift bag and recipe to hold a yummy scone mix (which I actually did make and put in the bag!) to give as a gift to someone during the holidays. Sorry about the photo quality - my camera died today! R.I.P. my first digital camera - you will be greatly missed - especially now that I have to turn to this sub-par one! Maybe Santa will hear my plea :-)

I created this for two challenges.

First, the challenge at the Cricut Circle blog this week was to create a holiday recipe project featuring at least two Cricut cuts. For my gift bag and recipe I used From My Kitchen for the oven mitt, the recipe card and tab. I used Lacy Labels for the scalloped oval.

The second challenge I entered this in is at Peachy Keen Stamps Challenges for the Let's Face it Friday challenge. They asked us to create a project using a paper bag! Also we needed to use one of our Peachy Keen face stamps. I chose the largest from the Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment set. These little faces just add so much personality to your projects! If you don't have any, you should definitely check them out!

All patterned paper used is from "Tis the Season" by DCWV.

Cardstock and library clip are from Stampin' Up.

Scalloped border punch is by EK Success.

Thanksgiving Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! Welcome to this Thanksgiving blog hop! Hope you are excited as I am to see what everyone has created for this 2- day blog hop! For my first project, I chose to create this paper bag mini-album,which I am going to give to my sister-in-law for Christmas - I just LOVE how it turned out. The chipboard cover was covered in canvas which I had painted with acrylic paint and modpodged Cricut letters on.

The instructions I used for creating a paper bag album were from a video I found on Youtube by Laura from Following the Paper Trail - if you are not sure who she is, go find her! She absolutely a creative genius.

I used a ton of Cricut cartridges for this album, I wish I could go step by step in the detail or that I could have done a video to show all of the elements. There are just so many things that the picture doesn't show!
