Hi everyone! Yesterday was my parent's 40th Anniversary celebration and I wanted to share with you the cake I made for them.
The rolled flowers were cut from the Artiste cartridge, as well as the heart in the cake topper and some of the snowflakes.
The other cartridge I used for the snowflakes is Cake Basics. I cut the snowflakes from fondant using my Cricut Cake machine.
For the 40 on the cake topper, I used the font from the Lovely Floral cartridge.
All of the paper flowers were cut from Recollections white card stock, them sprayed with various colours of Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays.
I am really happy with how it turned out!

Sister Birthday Card
Hi everyone! Here is a card that I created for my sister Melanie, whose birthday is this Friday! I made the card following the Throwback Thursday challenge at My Creative Time. The challenge this time was to create a project using a frame from any Cricut cartridge.
The frame I chose is from Lovely Floral and it was cut at 5.5".
The birds on the branch were cut at 2.5"
The word "sister" and the shadow were cut from the Sophisticated cartridge at 1".
The card background was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder from the Paper Lace II companion set.
I added some lace to the bottom of the frame, then spritzed some large white roses with Tiffany's Blue Starburst Spray. The small flowers were also white, and I coloured the edges of the petals with a yellow copic marker. I also added some tiny pearls for the birds' eyes
Other products used:
Cardstock - Core-dinations, CTMH
Patterned Paper - DCWV
Lace - My Mind's Eye
Starburst Spray - Lindy's Stamp Gang
Flower Bling - Kaiser Craft
Pearls - Stampin' Up!
Flowers - Pretty Petals
Hope you like it!
