A Cupid Card

Hi everyone! This weekend, I have been trying to clean up my craft room a little bit, hoping that it would get my creative juices flowing a little bit more. Not sure if it's the winter blahs or what, but I just seem to have no creative mojo happening here!

I took a break last night to create a card for the Throwback Thursday challenge at My Creative Time. The challenge this time was to create a Valentine's Day card using the Cricut cartridge of our choice. I chose the pretty cupid cut from the Celebrate with a Flourish cartridge. The cupid was cut at 2.75".

I also used the 100% Sweetness stamp set by My Creative Time for the sentiments and corner heart stamps on my card. If you would like to check out the fun stamp sets Emma has available for purchase, click HERE.

April Showers Blog Hop - Day 1 / #57 Celebrate with Flourish

Hi everyone! Welc0me to the first day of the April Showers blog hop hosted by Creations with Kathryn! If you have arrived here from Cricuting with Lisa then you are in the right place. If you have just happened to stop by my blog then please head over to Creations with Kathryn to start at the beginning! You don't want to miss a thing, there are so many great projects to get you in the springtime mood!

I know I am ready for a little spring - it has been a long cold winter here so it's nice to see the snow finally melting!

For today's project, I made this layout called "Spring Showers" featuring my two oldest children outside in the first rain of 2009. As you can see, there was still snow on the ground but my daughter still had to get out with her new umbrella!

The Cricut cartridges I used for my layout are:

Celebrate With Flourish - Umbrella (cut at 3.5") and "Sping Showers" (cut at 3").

Freshly Picked - Rubber Boots (cut at 3")

Hope you like it!

Now I have a bit of blog candy for one lucky follower of my blog! A Buggy Punnies stamp set by My Pink Stamper! All you have to do is leave a comment below and on tomorrow's post for a second entry in the drawing! Have fun on the rest of the hop! Your next stop is That'z Uneek. Don't forget to come back tomorrow for another project! Have a great weekend!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hi everyone! Here is a card I created for some challenges going on this week! For my second St. Patrick's Day card this year I chose to use the shamrock from Paper Doll Dress Up cut at 3 3/4" and made a border with the shamrocks from Celebrate With Flourish cut at 3/4".
The challenges I am entering are:
Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge - use a rainbow or monochromatic green colour scheme as well as a little bit of gold. Also use at least 2 Cricut cuts.
Fantabulous Cricut - make a square card using the colours green and gold.
More than Favors (Wacky Wednesday) - St. Patrick's Day theme.
I used some gold cording I picked up at Michaels to tie around the shamrock and attached gold brads to one of the paper strips.
"St. Patrick's Day" is printed with my Xyron Design Runner.
The gold pen used to detail the large shamrock is by American Crafts.
All paper is from my scraps stash.
Hope you like it!

Wreath Card

Hi everyone! Here is a card I created for the challenge this week at the Cricut Circle Blog. Our challenge was to create a card or tag using this sketch:

We also were asked to use at least two Cricut cuts on our project.

The wreath is from Celebrate with a Flourish.

The fancy border is from Paper Lace.

The poinsettias are from Joys of the Season.

For the background I used the Season's Greetings cuttlebug embossing folder and ran a green ink pad over the embossed image.

I added some white I-Rock metal accents to the border, itty bitty brads to the poinsettias and some red tinsel glitter to the bow knot on the wreath.
Hope you like it!
