Vintage Christmas Card

Hi everyone! The challenge this week at the Cricut Circle Blog was to create a project with a vintage feel using the following sketch:

The Cricut Cartridges I used to make this card are:

Christmas - "Season's Greetings" and poinsettia

Joys of the Season - angel

I used the Clockworks 5X7 Cuttlebug folder.

Our project also had to feature at least three vintage elements. I used lace, some vintage looking patterned paper (by Creative Imaginations) some vintage buttons and a vintage Christmas card photo.

3-D Church Ornament

Hi everyone! This afternoon I have been working on this 3-D church ornament - well pretty much ALL afternoon. I created it for a contest posted in the November issue of the Cricut Circle Magazine. We were to create a tree ornament featuring at least 4 Cricut cuts and the use of a Cuttlebug or Yudu.

The church was cut from Winter Woodland at 3.5" . I embossed the white layer with a Fomal Square embossing folder, then inked over the raised image. I cut the background from transparency and used alcohol ink to achieve a stained glass effect. The roof pieces were put through my Cuttlebug using the Tiny Mosaic folder. I punched the holes in the roof prior to assembly to thread the ribbon through for hanging.

The flourish along the sides of the church was cut from Winter Frolic.

The snowflake attached to the ribbon is from Christmas.

The "H" which is my last initial, is from Elegant Cakes.

The cute little bird atop the church is from Serenade.

I LOVE how this turned out! I can't wait to hang it on my tree in December! Hope you like it too!
