Buddies Scrapbook Layout

Hi again! Before I leave, here is another project I finished for the challenge over at http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/ The task was simply to create any scrapbooking layout using CTMH products. I have a very healthy stash of Close to my Heart products with my sister being my consultant and enabler :-) In fact I have made a few orders already this month while they are having their June Jackpot sale! There is a different special everyday in June! If you are interested find a consultant in your area and check it out!

Anyway, I used the Rough and Tumble My Reflections Level II paper pack, various matching CTMH ink colours and the My Acrylix stamp sets Little Boys, Flyin' High and Childhood Boy to create this layout featuring my son Drew and my nephew William who are two months apart and best buddies (sometimes anyway lol) Hope you like it!

Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge

Hi everyone! Here I am at 7:30 am just finishing up a project for the challenge at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ Normally, I am not functional this early but I got a call from my mom at a little after 5:00 saying my little sister had her baby girl! So before I head out for the 3 hour drive, I needed to get my project done!

Emma's challenge was to create a project using the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge (if we had it, which I do) and the colours light blue, red and dark brown. When I first saw what the combination was I was kinda like "Yikes". I actually found some patterned paper from one of Jenni Bowlin's lines that used red and light blue - not really a common combination I don't think - but it turns out they do go nicely together! Hope you like it! Thanks for the challenge Emma!

Heart 2 Heart Challenge - Let's Get Sketchy

Hi again! Well I made a baby boy card today so I decided to make a baby girl one as well. I used the sketch for the week over at Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog and created this cute card! I used the Close to my Heart "Welcome Baby" stamp set, the Stitched paper line also by CTMH, and the Baby Pink and Cocoa Inks. I am not sure what is up with my scanner right now, because the last few scans I have done are really light in the lower corner - it's really annoying me!! Hmmmm.

Welcome Baby card featuring TIGGER!!!

Hi everyone! What a beautiful day today! I really need to get outside and get my flowers planted! But first, here is card I created today with two challenges in mind. I used the Pooh font cartridge to create the baby Tigger and his little ducky. I just noticed it doesn't show on the photo but I used the Welcome Baby from the CTMH my acrylix stamp set with the same name and embossed it with white embossing powder ( bottom right corner)

Fantabulous Cricut - http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/ The challenge here was to create a project following a baby shower theme. It seems like there is ALWAYS someone I know who is pregnant ( my little sister is due any day!!!!) So you can never have too many baby cards on hand, right?

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #29

Hi everyone! I decided to do a project for the challenge over at http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/ The challenge was:

Now we are going to get cookin'! For our next challenge, Peachy Keen wants to see your favorite yummy summer BBQ or picnic recipe! AND we want you to feature it as a recipe card!

I chose one of my favorite barbeque recipes "Chicken Kisses".

The potatoes and onions were images I found on the web.

This project was a lot of fun - now I am actually thinking about making a recipe scrapbook! It would be so cute! Thanks for looking!

Ewe're One of a Kind

Hi everyone! Today my daughter (who is 6)and I have been creating in our craft room. I am taking part in Emma's first challenge over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/
The task is to create a project using an animal image. Jenae decided she wanted to make something too! I used the Animal Kingdom cartridge for my sheep and the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge for the grass. I used my new Peachy Keen Critter Faces for the large sheep then wished I had bought the small ones too because the faces were too big for the little sheep ( I am NOT a good artist lol). I used the Tiny Typewriter Alphabet by Close to My Heart to make the sentiment. You can't really see it in the photo, but I rubbed stickles over the grass cut out and over the top of the ribbon. Hope you like it!
Now for my daughter's project. On the front cover she cut out a drawing she made of our yorkie Parker. On the inside of the card she used Create a Critter to cut out the dog and then stamped a face on him with the PK critter faces set. Then she added a photo of him! She is so proud of her handiwork and I'm so proud of her! She hopes everyone likes it and she really hopes we win the challenge!
