#144 Valentine's Sweets - LOVE Banner

Hi everyone! Here is a project I created for the monthly challenge for the Cricut Circle Magazine. We were asked to do some creating in the Cricut Craft Room, the free online design tool offered by Cricut.com

I recently purchased the Craft Room digital exclusive Valentine's Sweets, so I decided to make a banner using some of those images. I combined this cartridge with the Berries & Creme Imagine cartridge for the colours and patterns.

I cut the flag and layers at 5.5".

The love hearts were cut at 2.25".

I added some glitter here and there by using some glitter glue by Martha Stewart that came with a little kit I purchased a while back. I sprinkled the glitter over top of that.

I punched holes in the top corners of the pennants and added eyelets for durability. I then strung some purple ribbon through the holes. I also added some bows to the end pennants using the same ribbon.

If you would like to have a look at the Valentine's Sweets Craft Room exclusive, click HERE, or go check it out in the Cricut Craft Room! You can create your designs and save them for when you are able to purchase the cartridge or images to cut them out. Pretty neat! Also, if you have a Gypsy and the Craft Room is not for you, but you are interested some of the images, you can purchase the set and it will be added to your G the next time you update.

Hope you like it!

A Cupid Card

Hi everyone! This weekend, I have been trying to clean up my craft room a little bit, hoping that it would get my creative juices flowing a little bit more. Not sure if it's the winter blahs or what, but I just seem to have no creative mojo happening here!

I took a break last night to create a card for the Throwback Thursday challenge at My Creative Time. The challenge this time was to create a Valentine's Day card using the Cricut cartridge of our choice. I chose the pretty cupid cut from the Celebrate with a Flourish cartridge. The cupid was cut at 2.75".

I also used the 100% Sweetness stamp set by My Creative Time for the sentiments and corner heart stamps on my card. If you would like to check out the fun stamp sets Emma has available for purchase, click HERE.

Hope you like it!

#143 Sports Mania - I Love Soccer

Hi everyone! Here is a layout I created for the Throwback Thursday challenge over at My Creative Time. The challenge was to create a sports themed project. I have a bunch of soccer pictures to scrapbook since for now, that is the only sport that my children play.
For my layout I used the Sports Mania Cricut cartridge. The soccer ball was cut at 8.5", the soccer player at 3", and "I Love Soccer" at 2.25".
The background patterned paper is by Heidi Swapp. The cardstock is Bazzill.
Hope you like it!
Be sure to check out My Creative Time on Friday - Emma's newest stamps will be released!

It's Cold Outside Blog Hop Day 2

Hi everyone! Welcome to the It's Cold Outside Blog Hop! This is the second day of our two day blog hop and we are so happy that you have joined us! If you have arrived here from Scrapping with Lisa, you are at the right place. If you have just happened to visit my blog, please head over to Scrappin with Z to start from the beginning!

For my project today, I created this layout of my daughter skating for the first time last winter!

The patterned paper and embellishments I used are by Little Yellow Bicycle from their Winter Twig line that I justed picked up a couple weeks ago at my local scrapbook store.

The Cricut cartridges / cuts I used are:

Feeling Groovy - "First Skate" letters and shadow cut at 1.5" then welded with my Gypsy.

Mini Monograms - large scalloped circle cut at 4.5", circle cut at real dial 3.25", small scalloped circle cut at real dial 2.75".

The coordinating skate and snowflakes are embellishments also by Little Yellow Bicycle.

Hope you like my layout! Well, I am the last stop on the list! Be sure to leave comments on all of the blogs for a chance to win a file of your choice from Visual Designs by Chris.

It's Cold Outside Blog Hop Day 1 - #142 Lacy Labels

Hi everyone! Welcome to the It's Cold Outside Blog Hop! This is the first day of our two day blog hop and we are so happy that you have joined us! If you have arrived here from Scrapping with Lisa, you are at the right place. If you have just happened to visit my blog, please head over to Scrappin with Z to start from the beginning!

I live in Alberta Canada and I must say that the temperature is not cold at all here for January! It has been slightly below or above freezing for a few weeks now! I am loving the weather, but it is strange not having snow. There is a lot of ice though - our backyard could be a skating rink!

For my project today, I created this card using a rubber stamp by Whipper Snapper Designs. Love this cute little snow man! I coloured him with my copic markers.

The sentiment stamp I used is by My Creative Time from her Mixed Holiday Sentiments stamp set.

The snowflake label and layers were cut at 3.8" using Lacy Labels along with Mr. Frosty patterns on my Imagine machine. All colours and patterns on this card are from the Mr. Frosty cartridge with the exception of the small purple oval that I stamped the sentiment on. This paper came out of my scraps stash.

Hope you like my card! I also hope you have enjoyed the first day of our blog hop! I am the last stop on the list, but please join us again tomorrow for some more fabulous wintery ideas! Be sure to leave comments on all of the blogs for a chance to win a file of your choice from Visual Designs by Chris. Have a great weekend!

Happy New Year!

Hi everyone! Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday season!

Last year, my crafty resolution was to use each of my Cricut cartridges in a project throughout the year. I didn't make it! The fact that I accumulated a whole bunch more cartridges in 2011 didn't help much either :-) So, in 2012, I will be continuing on in my quest to use all of my cartridges, starting with #142. Hope you will follow along!
