Throwback Thursday Challenge #8

Hi everyone! Jenae is back with me this week for another Throwback Thursday!
This week at My Creative Time , Emma's challenge was to create a birthday themed project using the Celebrations cartridge. This is a cartridge I don't own! So instead I chose to use Doodlecharms which is also an older cartridge. Both the kitty and the hat are from this cartridge. Jenae chose to use Sweet Treats. I tried to tell her she was supposed to use an older cartridge but she was set on that cupcake with the heart so I couldn't say no :-) I am so proud of how well she does with putting the pieces together on her cuts! And she choses all the paper to use from my scraps - great combinations! She is only 6 years old!
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and please come again!

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #32

Hi everyone! For this challenge we were supposed to create a project based on our favorite summer destination! I immediately thought of the mountains since that is pretty much the only destination I have travelled to :-) However, when i was cutting out the cabin, I forgot about the summer part and added snow to the roof - guess there is snow on the mountains even in the summer! For this card I used the Camp Out cartridge. For the face on the moon I used my Basic Paper Doll Assortment stamps by Peachy Keen Stamps. Thanks for looking and hope you all had a great weekend!

Sweet Treats Card

Hi everyone! Here is a card I made using the Sweet Treats cartridge. I used the card function on the cupcake to make this little 4" shaped card. The challenges I had in mind were:

Fantabulous Cricut - create a treat "shaped" card.

Cricut Cardz Challenge - make a card using the card feature on any cartridge.

Hope you like it!

Throwback Thursday - Wild Card!

Hi everyone! This week at My Creative Time Emma is having another Throwback Thursday challenge! For this challenge, the task was to create a card for our favorite holiday featuring the Wild Card cartridge. This cartridge has always been a challenge for me by itself :-)! My favorite holiday is Halloween so I chose to use the little monster card. I used my gypsy to hide the facial features so I could use my Peachy Keen Monster face on him. I went around the edges of the monster with a black ink pad to give him sort of a grungy look. I used the envelope feature to make the matching envelope. The patterned paper I used is by Martha Stewart crafts and the cardstock is Bazzill.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Birthday Drew!

Hi! It's my son Drew's 3rd birthday today! We had his birthday party yesterday and it was so much fun! I thought I would share my crafty party decor creations with you! Drew is a Cars fanatic so I put my Cars cricut cartridge to a lot of good use! I made the cake using my Cricut Cake machine. I cut out a huge Lightning McQueen to put on the wall using a 12X24 mat and the cardstock in that same size (it cut out at 11.5 inches!) The treat bags are paper bags with the front and back covered with cardstock. I used my gypsy to place the rectangle in the right place for the handle, the cut outs on the bags are also from the Cars cartridge. I had so much fun making everything! My sister Leila asked me where I found the time with 3 kids to do it, and I said "at 2:00 in the morning" so I got to bed early last night for a good sleep for the first time in a few days!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #17

Hi everyone! I managed to get another challenge done this week amidst the craziness of summer holidays! For this challenge at http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/ we had to create a project featuring a bug or creepy crawlie and the colour orange. This was my entry! I used Paisley for the bugs and Mother's Day for the flowers and the background top note. Hope you like it!

Throwback Thursday Challenge - Zooballoo

Hello everyone! For this weeks challenge at My Creative Time with Emma http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ the task was to create a project with an animal theme using the Zooballoo cartridge. This was one of the first cartridges I ever bought and it has been getting neglected! I have used it a few times for the font but don't think I have actually created anything using the animals on it! This was a great challenge! I decided to create a birthday card with it. Hope you like my creation!
My daughter Jenae usually participates in the Throwback Thursday challenge with me but my husband is on holidays from work so they have been doing tons of stuff together - and it has been beautiful outside as well!

Easel Card and Copic Markers!

Hi everyone! I was playing with my copic markers and my one and only Magnolia stamp. Isn't she the sweetest? I am entering this card in the Cuttlebug Challenge at http://cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/ The task was to create an easel card, which I have never done before. I looked on youtube and there are TONS of tutorials for them. They are so fun to create (and receive too, I bet). I used two cuttlebug embossing folders for this card - one is swiss dots and the other is seeing spots. As mentioned before, the fairy stamp is from Magnolia. The flower and Happy Birthday are from Close to My Heart.

Hope you like it!
P.S. Please don't judge my colouring too harshly, I am new at copics :-)

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! My next project for today was a challenge over at http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/

They provided a sketch that we were supposed to follow. This was my take on the challenge. The Peachy Keen stamps I used were Critter Faces set A Medium and Everyday Character Face Assortment. I used my cricut and the Create a Critter cartridge for the skunk and flowers.

Throwback Thursday - New Arrival

Hello! Today my daughter and I were working on Emma's challenge from http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ Jenae loves scrapbooking and thinks these challenges are so much fun! This week the cartridge New Arrival was in the spotlight and we had to create a baby themed project using this cartridge. I chose to make a baby girl card. I used New Arrival for all cuts except the stitched circle which I cut from Mini Monograms.

Jenae made another 6X6 layout to put into her new album. She had a picture of her and her baby brother that she thought would be perfect. She chose all the products to use and I think they went together nicely. She loves stamping and used one of my CTMH alphabets for the title. The elephant is from New Arrival but she did not want to use the layer.

So Dear Card

Hi everyone! My daughter has been out of school two days now and already it has been a busy summer! Yesterday we took in the Canada Day festivities in our town and Jenae got to be in the parade! She was so thrilled! She was on foot the whole way and didn't even mind!

Anyway, I created this card last night and am just getting the chance to post it now. I created it for the My Pink Stamper http://www.mypinkstamper.com/ challenge going on this weekend. The challenge was to create a project using the colours pink, green, brown and orange. I loved this challenge and think the colours look great together!

I used my brand spanking new cartridge Cindy Loo to create the mushroom frame (I welded a few more mushrooms in with my gypsy) I also used Create a Critter for the words "so dear".

Hope you like it!
